Our CauseOur neighbor, Aiden Coyne, was diagnosed at 17 months with a rare blood disease called Langerhan Cell Histiosytosis (LCH). Histiocytosis attacks the skin, bones, lungs, liver, spleen, gums, ears, eyes, and/or the central nervous system. Because this disease is so rare, there is no government-supported funding and therefore, little research is done to find the cause and cure for LCH. "Aiden is a beautiful and loving child as parents we want to protect him and find a cure for this terrible and unpredictable disease. We want Aiden to grow up to be a strong, happy, and healthy man who can play sports with other children, go to college and have a successful career. Donating and supporting the HAA's pledge to find a reason and cure for this will ensure that Aiden and all the other children ariound the world withh have that chance."
